The Fifth International Scientific Conference titled: Scholars, Figures, and Landmarks of Libya "Jabal Nafusa and Zuwara as a Model"
The scientific committee of the conference is pleased to invite faculty members, researchers, specialists, and those interested in scientific research from Libyan, Arab, and international universities and research centers to participate in the conference scheduled to be held in the city of Yafran on Sunday and Monday, October 25-26, 2026.
Important Notes and Guidelines for Conference Participants
- The research should not have been published or previously participated in any type of scientific or cultural activities.
- The work should respond to the requirements of scientific research: language, methodology, conclusion, results, recommendations, references.
- The official language of participation in the conference is Arabic.
- The research topic should be related to one of the conference themes.
- Please find attached the CV of the researcher who will present the research.
- The research is subject to evaluation by the scientific committee of the conference. Scientific papers that meet the publication criteria of the Shros Scientific Journal and are accepted at the conference will be published in a special issue of the (Shros Scientific Journal).
- The participants of the conference will be organized to visit the historical and tourist attractions in the city of Yafran.
- A book fair is organized alongside the conference.
- The organizing body of the conference will cover the accommodation and meals for the participants throughout the days of the conference, but will not bear their travel expenses.

The accepted papers at the conference will be published in a special issue of the (Shros Scientific Journal); it is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Nalut University and listed in the electronic directory of Libyan journals.

Yefren is considered the "Bride of the Nafusa Mountains," a destination that combines the charm of nature with the richness of history. It is characterized by its unique traditional architecture, such as the "Damus" houses and historical palaces, and is regarded as a bastion of authentic identity with its ancient handicrafts like "Yefren pottery." It is also famous for producing mountain olive oil and is the largest market for dried figs in Libya, offering its visitors a stunning tourist experience thanks to its elevated views, the Ain al-Roumi resort, and natural walking trails.
